You’ll find interesting openings in every functional area – and in every part of the world. Have a look at our job market to see what’s on offer in your chosen area.
In application engineering, you are responsible for setting up hardware and software for internal-combustion engines, ensuring, for example, that specified performance and emission targets are met. Your duties include commissioning and optimizing electronic engine management systems, setting up software parameters in control units, testing prototypes as well as building and commissioning engine test stands. You liaise closely with related departments such as software and component development, with our plants and with our testing area. In addition, you maintain contact with our sales people – and with customers, for instance, during presentations.
Your analytical mind and your understanding of complex processes are great assets in application engineering. You hold a degree from a technical university, ideally specializing in internal-combustion engines. Knowledge of engine and combustion technology, exhaust aftertreatment, and electronic engine management is essential. In addition, you bring to the table control system expertise, knowledge of exhaust and on-board diagnostics legislation as well as practical experience working with simulation tools.
In controlling, accounting, and finance, your job is to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the business side of the company, whether it’s at corporate, division, plant or department level. You handle a wide variety of tasks depending on your specialism.
In controlling, your duties include budget and resource planning together with the specialist departments, and monitoring compliance. For example, you prepare investment analyses, compare target and actual figures, and analyze results. Based on this, you initiate corrective action if the figures deviate from budget. You also make recommendations as to how financial targets can be better achieved, calculate prices, quotations, contribution margins and transfer prices, draw up income statements and prepare forecasts. Not least, you define key performance indicators and use them to manage the success of our business.
In accounting, you keep a close eye on our financial accounting, managing receivables, liabilities, fixed assets, and running costs. Key functions also include preparing reports and financial statements according to national and international accounting standards.
